Put Unwanted Consumer Items to Good Use Not in Landfills with Recycle.co.uk

November 4, 2009

Consumer goods recycling site helps people to offload unneeded items which others might find a use for and make money on old mobile phones

LIGHTWATER, ENGLAND, November 04, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Recycle.co.uk, a leading online consumer goods recycling marketplace, has announced a re-launch of its offering giving enhanced product exchange services to people. The site lets people advertise discarded items which might be of use to other people for free and now also offers premium services for items which need recycling in a hurry.

From computers to dishwashers, mobile phones to musical instruments, Recycle.co.uk helps bring together owners of items which are no longer wanted with people who can still put them to good use. The site operates with an attitude that says one person's junk might be someone else's treasure, and also aims to cut down on the number of skips and landfills in the UK.

Advertisers can promote their items for free on the site and now the enhanced and re-launched Recycle.co.uk offers advertisers even greater reach. On top of the site's standard item listing service it now also allows additional services so that registered users can be emailed when an item of a particular type has just been posted online. So if a user is interested in a free fridge in a particular geographical area, they can be emailed when one becomes available. The function allows for specific keywords to tailor updates for particular items.

The new features also increase advertisers' reach as they are able to target their adverts meaning they can recycle items more quickly. Also forming part of the enhanced and re-launched offering are dedicated private phone services which allow advertiser and interested party to communicate quickly and effectively.

Another element of the revamped http://www.recycle.co.uk offering is a new mobile phone recycling price comparison capability. Second-hand mobile phones can be worth a lot of money - a used iPhone for GBP300, a 1-year old Nokia for up to GBP180 - so it is worth checking out what they are valued at. The site lets owners find out what a used phone is worth, then put it in a pre-paid envelope in the post and receive a cheque back by return.

Gareth Robinson, owner of Recycle.co.uk and managing director of ASAP Ventures Ltd, commented, "It is often a pleasant surprise to find that someone else can use your unwanted consumer goods, and product recycling has become a really big consumer practice these days. It is ethical and responsible and has an environmental impact. Also, customers can now enjoy making money back on their used mobile phones through our new recycling price comparison function."

http://www.recycle.co.uk is free to register with and offers a number of levels of advertiser subscription. The site is owned and operated by ASAP Ventures Ltd, an Internet business specialist with many years of experience of successful online consumer websites.
