Acura Light Trucks Post Impressive Gains in Monthly Sales

TORRANCE, Calif., Nov. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Strong sales of the Acura MDX and RDX SUVs allowed Acura's light trucks to post impressive monthly sales gains compared to last October. The MDX luxury SUV sold 3,834 units, up 23.0 percent* while the RDX crossover SUV sold 952 units, up a remarkable 41.9 percent. Total monthly sales for Acura reached 9,751 units, down 7.0 percent* versus last October, while year-to-date sales were 86,379, off 31.4 percent**.

"The availability of an all-new two-wheel-drive model helps the RDX crossover SUV to further broaden its appeal," said Jeff Conrad, vice president of Acura sales. "The RDX offers an equal mix of performance, safety, improved fuel economy and now even more value."

Also posting an impressive monthly sales increase is the TSX sport sedan with 2,298 units sold, up an impressive 20.2 percent. The TL performance luxury sedan was Acura's best selling sedan for the month of October, with 2,512 vehicles sold.
