Ford sold 73,100 vehicles in August in its traditional Euro 20 markets*, down 2.4 percent compared with August 2016. Year to date sales of 918,100 was 2.2 percent up on the same period last year
Production ramp up and changeover to new Fiesta led to reduced sales volume in recent months. With production now running at capacity, we expect a strong forward sales outlook
Ford Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) sales up 21.3 percent to 14,200 in August driven by strong demand for EcoSport, Kuga and Edge. SUV sales in the traditional Euro 20 markets up 26.7 percent for the first eight months of 2017
Commercial vehicle (CV) market share was 13.5 percent in the Euro 20 for August, making Ford the No. 1 CV brand in Europe; Ford CV sales up 9.3 percent in the first eight months at 227,000
73 percent of Ford passenger vehicle sales were to retail and fleet customers in Ford's top five European markets in August, and 72 percent year to date, better than the industry average for both time periods

Ford EcoSport sales year to date have reached 44,000 units, up more than 15 percent. The new EcoSport starts production at Ford's Craiova facility in Romania later this year, and features an ST-Line derivative for the first time
Ford has sold 26,000 Ranger pickups in Europe so far this year, 3,100 more than in the first eight months of 2016. Ranger remains Europe's top-selling pickup (YTD July). Ford has now launched the Ranger Black Edition. Just 2,500 units will be built of this most exclusive Ranger model
