Kazakhstan's car industry shows improvements in 2017

Bishkek, Jan. 16, 2018 / Kabar/. In 2017, residents of Kazakhstan bought more than 46,000 new cars worth $1.12 billion, the press service of KazAvtoProm reported.

The press service noted that the sales have increased by 28.6% in comparison with 2016.

At the same time, 30 484 vehicles (65.7%) sold in 2017 were imported. Almost 16 thousand buyers (34.3%) chose the products of Kazakhstan's car factories.

According to the chairman of the board of KazAvtoProm, Oleg Alferov, in 2017 Kazakhstan car market showed improvements after a continuous decline in 2014-2016.
