According to reports in The Sunday Mirror, Rafa Silva is set to leave Benfica this summer with his agent targeting Newcastle as the top priority.

Silva has been impressive in the Euro's this month and is expected to cost around £30m.

Piero Hincapié (CA Talleres)

The Magpies have been linked to defender Piero Hincapié.

The 19-year-old impressed in the Argentinian top-flight - playing nearly every minute of the season.

He's got two caps for Ecuador.

Real Betis and Atletico Madria have also been linked with an interest by Diario de Sevilla.

Dion Sanderson (Wolves)

Defender Dion Sanderson spent last season on loan at Sunderland - who have had a £1m bid rejected to turn his loan spell into a permanent deal.

The centre-back impressed and often looked too good for League One.

Wolves have already signed defender Yerson Musquera and while they are willing to let Sanderson go are said to want closer to £2m for him.

The Mail Online report that Newcastle United as long as Sheffield United are keeping tabs on Sanderson.

Wout Weghorst (Wolfsburg)

Newcastle United and West Ham are said to be interested in Wout Weghorst, the Athletic report.

The 28-year-old hit 20 goals for Wolfsburg last season - and is thought to be available for £25m.

United were linked last summer.

Matt Grimes (Swansea City)

Midfielder Matt Grimes has been linked with an £8m move to Newcastle United this summer.

Grimes scored the goal that took Swansea City into the play-off final - they lost out to Brentford in the end.

William Saliba (Arsenal)

Newcastle United have been linked with a move for Arsenal's William Saliba.

According to Mail Online, Newcastle are waiting to see if Arsenal will William Saliba to leave on loan for the next season.

Saliba was on loan at Nice last season.

The report also says that a deal for Kristoffer Ajer looks 'unlikely.

Nat Phillips (Liverpool)

Newcastle United are battling Burnley as both clubs take a look at Liverpool's Nat Phillips.

The defender was a surprise star for the Reds as they achieved a top four finish despite injuries to key players. The Bolton-born defender stepped in and impressed, even scoring an important goal at Burnley.

Now it's being reported the Clarets are keen on the centre-back along with United - who want a centre-back in the summer transfer window.

The Sun claimed Phillips was on Bruce's wishlist.

Newcastle have also been linked with Ozan Kabak, the Schalke defender who departed Liverpool after 13 appearances on loan. The Reds opted against an £18million deal. United had been close to brokering a deal for him before Liverpool pounced.

United's transfer priority is Joe Willock and the Arsenal star is open to a return to St James' Park.

Newcastle United and Burnley are 'attentive' to the possibility of signing Nuno Tavares and have made attempts to see if Benfica would be prepared to sell the defender this summer, according to reports.

The 21-year-old has played 37 times for the Portuguese giants, including 21 appearances this season in all competitions.

The reports come via Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

It's thought his asking price start at £13m.

Rob Dickie - QPR

The central defender was linked to Newcastle United last summer after impressing at Oxford United but headed to Loftus Road instead.

The 25-year-old has impressed in his debut season in The Championship, and Football Insider claims that the Magpies are ready to revisit the transfer of Dickie.

QRR however will not be keen to sell.

Yan Valery - Southampton (on loan at Birmingham)

Yan Valery is being watched by Newcastle according to FootMercato.

The 22-year-old is currently out on loan at Birmingham City haven't struggled for minutes at Southampton.

Centre-back Abdul Mumin has impressed in Portugal and is attracting interesting from Aston Villa, Spurs and Newcastle with a Premier League move looking likely this summer.

The Sun report that Mumin will cost £15m - and Spurs lead the race to sign him.

Gael Kakuta - Amiens (on loan at RC Lens)

RC Lens midfielder Gael Kakuta is reportedly on the transfer wish list of Newcastle United for this summer.

According to Foot Mercato, the Magpies have already reached out to the representatives of the former Chelsea man.

Kakuta has hit 11 goals this season with five assists while on loan from Amiens.

Mario Lemina - Southampton

The Guardian claim that Newcastle United are interested in Southampton's Mario Lemina who has been on loan at Fulham this season.

The report claims that the midfielder will be available this summer for just £7m.

Newcastle reportedly tried to sign Sporting CP midfielder Matheus Nunes on loan in the winter window but saw that advances rejected.

Kristoffer Ajer - Celtic

Claims that Newcastle United are battling Norwich City for the signature of Celtic man Kristoffer Ajer.

The Daily Record suggested that the Magpies were looking to tie up an £8million deal - but Celtic would want double that.

Attila Szalai - Galatasaray

Turkish media outlet Blikk claims that Newcastle United and Aston Villa are interested in Attila Szalai - the Galatasaray defender.

A price tag of £25m is being touted for the 23-year-old.
