This Lancia Delta Integrale 8V Once Went Grocery Shopping, Now Sells for $36K

Imagine going out to you local 7-Eleven or whatever for the weekly supply run. You don’t take this trip in the family’s car, or in a sports car, not even on a bicycle. You make this run with a 1989 Lancia Delta Integrale 8V in rally overalls, as someone did a couple of years ago just for kicks.

A Lancia Delta Integrale 8V on U.S. soil is not something you hear about everyday, but this is exactly what we are telling you: such a car, in better-than-expected condition, can be found on the continent, and just got sold for $36,000.

The Integrale 8V was born in 1987 as an extension of the already successful Delta 4WD. Coming to the world with visual changes and a number of technical differences compared to the stock model, it is still a sight to behold to this day.

This particular Delta is of the 1989 model year, and arrived in the U.S. in 2014. Wearing a bright red paint embellished by a Martini rally livery, it seems ready to hit the rally stages at any time. The car is no longer the same one that rolled off the assembly lines decades ago. Modifications were made to it to make it more appealing and modern, at least visually.

It rides on 17-inch wheels and comes with an aftermarket exhaust and new coilovers while the interior has elements that were not there before, like black bucket seats and a reworked instrument panel.

Power for the Delta Integrale 8V comes from the stock 2.0-liter 8V engine fitted by the carmaker back in the day. Linked to a five-speed manual transmission, it develops 182 hp and has been used for around 154,000 miles (248,000 km).

Some of those miles were added back in 2018, when a couple of guys took it “around town getting our errands,” including grocery shopping. The video is attached below.
