Pinellas Park police search for person they say hit bicyclist then drove away

Police say the man who was hit on his bike is in critical condition.

PINELLAS PARK, Fla. — The Pinellas Park Police Department is looking for the driver they say crashed into a bicyclist Monday morning and drove away.

Police said the crash happened around 4:30 a.m. Monday on 66th Street between 64th and 62nd Avenue.

Officers say the crash left the man on the bicycle, Dustin Kwilecki, seriously hurt. He was taken to the hospital and is in critical condition.

The car that hit Kwilecki is described as either a red 2006-2010 Chrysler 300 or a 2006-2010 Dodge Magnum, officers said. It should have damage on the front passenger corner and is missing the rearview mirror on that side as well, according to investigators.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Pinellas Park Police Department at 727-369-7864. Anyone who wishes to stay anonymous may contact
Crime Stoppers of Pinellas County at 800-873-TIPS (8477).
