THURSDAY. FRANKLIN POLICE AND STATE DCI AGENTS AND CRIME LAB TECH SEARCHED THE HOME OF 70 YEAR OLD SANDRA ECKERT LAST THURSDAY, HER HUSBAND SAYS THE TWO ARGUE THE NIGHT OF MARCH 26TH, AND SHE DROVE OFF IN HIS CAR AFTER HE HID HER CAR KEYS MUSKEGO POLICE SPOTTED THAT CAR A FEW HOURS LATER, BUT THERE’S BEEN NO SIGN OF THAT CAR OR SANDRA IN THE MORE THAN THREE WEEKS SINCE WEST ECKER TODAY TOLD ME POLICE SEIZED THEIR COMPUTERS PHONES EVEN HIS CHECKBOOK AND MAIL. HE SAID POLICE USED AT LEAST ONE DOG IN THE SEARCH OF THE HOUSE AND PROPERTY AND SAYS THEY SEIZED HIS ANTIQUE MODEL A CAR BECAUSE HE WAS TOLD THE DOG GOT A HIT ON THAT CAR AS WE REPORTED FRIDAY POLICE ARRESTED WEST ECKERT FOR POSSESSION OF A FIREARM BY A FELON BUT LATER RELEASED HIM SEARCH WARRANTS WERE ISSUED FOR THE HOUSE AND A STORAGE UNIT. THE FAMILY HAS ON ROSS AND AVENUE THOSE WOULD DETAIL WHAT INVESTIGATORS FOUND THERE. HOWEVER, THOSE REMAINED SEALED HERE AT THE MILWAUKEE COUNTY. COURTHOUSE WEST ECKER TOLD ME DETECTIVES APPEARED DETERMINED TO FIND SOME EVIDENCE OF FOUL PLAY SEARCHING THE HOUSE AND STORAGE BUILDINGS FROM TOP TO BOTTOM. HE SAYS HE’S BEEN MADE TO FEEL LIKE A SUSPECT CALLING HIMSELF QUOTE LOW HANGING FRUIT FOR DETECTIVES. HE SAYS HE REALIZES AT THIS POINT HER DISAPPEARANCE HAS TO BE MORE THAN HER JUST BEING ANGRY AT HIM. HE SAYS HE’S ASKING ANYONE WITH INFORMATION TO SPEAK UP IN FRANKLIN NICK WISN 12 NEWS. Franklin police say they are not ready to divulge more information about the search for 70-year-old Sandra Eckert.She disappeared three weeks ago. Investigators and state agents from the crime lab were at a home belonging to Eckert and her husband last Thursday to execute a search warrant.Wes Eckert told WISN 12 police seized computers, cellphones and even his checkbook and mail.He said police used at least one dog in the search of the house and property.Wes Eckert said investigators seized his antique Model A car because he was told the dog got a hit on the car.Sandra Eckert was last seen leaving the home at about 11 p.m. on March 26.Her vehicle, a gray 2005 Dodge Stratus with the Wisconsin license plate 319LGT, was also missing.Wes Eckert said she left their home after an argument.Franklin police said the Dodge was spotted driving around Muskego a few hours after Sandra Eckert disappeared but hasn't been seen since.Neither has Sandra.Wes Eckert told WISN 12 Friday when investigators served the search warrant, it said it was for a suspected homicide investigation.Police took him into custody while they searched the couple's home because he said he had an antique gun on the wall and he's a convicted felon for a 1970s financial crime so he isn't allowed to have firearms. Investigators said Sandra Eckert's social media accounts, cellphone and bank accounts have been inactive since her disappearance. Wes Eckert was released and hasn't been charged. He said he believes she's still out there and he wanted to urge her to come home for the sake of the family, who is worried about her. Wes Eckert said he was made to feel like a suspect in the case.The family posted a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to finding Sandra Eckert. No other details have been released.Investigators asked anyone with information to call the Franklin Police Department.
