Jeremy Clarkson had some moving words to a ITV Who Wants to be a Millionaire contestant this week.

Former Top Gear host and The Grand Tour presenter Clarkson, who also stars in Clarkson's Farm, welcomed Oke Okonkwo into the studio.

Oke, an NHS worker, was given some touching words of encouragement from car and farming enthusiast Jeremy.

The specialist had a touching reason to be on the ITV gameshow.

Mr Okonkwo needed the money to help his wife get medical treatment abroad.

Jeremy told him: "I get that, this is an important thing that you are spending it on.

"The simple fact of the matter you are going away and I hope it brings some comfort and some joy to your family.

"Because Oke Okonkwo you are leaving with £16,000.

"Well done."

Amazon Prime subscribers have been treated to the sight of Jeremy Clarkson attempting to become a farmer in Clarkson's Farm, his latest series for the streaming giant.

His efforts haven't always been successful, so he probably feels on much safer ground while posing general knowledge questions in the latest episode of the potentially life-changing quiz.

The programme was followed immediately afterwards by an episode of It's Clarkson on TV, in which the presenter pokes fun at bizarre moments in broadcasting history.

ITV Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is now available for viewers to catch up with via the ITV Hub on demand streaming platform and catch up service.
