Police have launched an appeal after a driver suffered "serious injuries" in an A55 slip road crash.

It happened on the slip road to the dual carriageway's services eastbound at Bodelwyddan, in Denbighshire, on Saturday evening.

The crash involved one vehicle - a grey Renault Laguna - and North Wales Police (NWP) have appealed for witnesses, or anybody with footage, to come forward.

A statement on the NWP Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele Facebook page said: "Officers are investigating a single vehicle RTC involving a grey Renault Laguna, where the driver suffered serious injuries.

"The incident occurred on the slip road to the services A55 eastbound Bodelwyddan on the evening of Saturday 30th October 2021 between 4.15pm and 4.30pm."

PC Nick Choak, of the Roads Policing Unit, added: "Can I ask that any witnesses that may have dashcam footage or if you witnessed the collision, please call us on 101 or use our live webchat, quoting reference Z159209."
