If you’ve spent any time at all on the automotive section of YouTube, you will undoubtedly have watched a Shmee150 video or two. The British supercar collector has spent over 13 years driving and collecting some of the world’s fastest and most expensive vehicles – taking his nearly 2.5 million subscribers along for the journey.

In his latest video, Shmee takes a trip to Tennessee to pore over fellow YouTuber 458 Destroyer’s insane Ferrari collection and take one very special LaFerrari for a blast down some country roads.

Shmee To Buy The Ultimate Ferrari?

Shmee starts by running through some of 458 Destroyer's frankly enviable Ferrari collection – showing us his F40, 812 GTS, 458 Speciale, Portofino, 599 GTO, and LaFerrari. After running through some LaFerrari history and the fact that Shmee proudly dropped the first ever reveal video of the car, even before Ferrari themselves, he fires up the car and heads out for a drive.

Now on the road, Shmee does little to hide his gleeful excitement at the 6.3-liter V12 hybrid hypercar, shifting down a gear and beaming as he does a second to third-gear pull. This LaFerrari happens to have a rift exhaust system. The noise and the power of the V12 is the main thing that dominates the driving experience, he says.

Shmee then reflects on Ferrari’s evolution in the decade since the LaFerrari was first launched, describing his appreciation for the brand and how it has carved out two unique paths for the supercar and hypercar market.

The Icona series, namely the SP1, SP2, and SP3 Daytona cars, hark back to Ferrari’s emotive naturally aspirated V12 history, with the LaFerrari successor now able to take a more singular performance-oriented route.

We have seen some spy shots of the yet-to-be-released Ferrari F250 in the wild around Maranello sporting a far more extreme aero package than any road-going Ferrari that we’ve seen before.

There’s still conjecture on whether the latest Ferrari hypercar will have a hybrid V8 or V12, but Shmee estimates the car will be pushing around 1,300 hp and will be supremely quick on the road or the track.

Shmee ends the video by making no secret that he wants a LaFerrari – saying it is second only to an F50 as his all-time favorite car. Unfortunately, he says, the going rate for a LaFerrari is around $3.5 million, and he would have to sell his Zenvo, Senna, Ford GT, and his Ferrari SF90 to afford one.

Still, he says, the LaFerrari is “Shmee in a nutshell” and having one wouldn’t only be a dream for him, but it might help him to buy the F250 when that’s set to release in 2025.
