A man has been charged eight months after a fatal crash in the Borders that killed one woman and injured three others.
Yvonne Nicol, 64, passed away following the three-vehicle accident on the A7. The incident happened near the Ashkirk junction at around 3.45pm on August 15, reports the Daily Record.
Yvonne, from Hawick, was the driver of a Vauxhall Astra. She was rushed to Borders General Hospital where she later died.

A 65-year-old male passenger in the same car suffered serious injuries. While the 71-year-old female driver of a Nissan Juke was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment to serious injuries.
Police confirmed today that a 30-year-old man has now been charged in connection with the crash. He had previously been arrested and released pending further enquiries.
A report will now be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal and he is expected to appear at court at a later date.
