A BILLIONAIRE who owns one of the weirdest car collections in the world has unveiled his £15bn treasure trove.

Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan, AKA the Rainbow Sheikh, is a UAE royal, and his latest addition to his jaw-dropping collection is a massive SUV.

While many car enthusiasts might expect to find rare, sleek supercars, this collection is far from conventional.

It features some truly out-of-the-box vehicles, from military trucks with jeeps on top to gaudy Fiats and oddball 1980s modifications.

One of the latest additions to the Rainbow Sheikh’s collection is an SUV — the Dhabiyan.

What makes it particularly striking is the Jeep Wrangler perched on top, creating a strange yet impressive sight.

Powered by a 15.2-litre Caterpillar diesel engine, the Dhabiyan generates 600 horsepower.

It measures a remarkable 35 feet long and 10 feet high.

To add to its uniqueness, it features Ford F-Series headlights and rear lights from a Dodge Dart.

This remarkable vehicle is just one of many in the Rainbow Sheikh’s massive collection, which also doubles as the United Arab Emirates' national car museum.

Despite his fortune of around $20billion (£15billion), the museum is far from the typical supercar showcase.

Instead, it features a fascinating assortment of strange, one-of-a-kind vehicles, including oddities and unique examples of 1980s car tuning.

Previously, Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan al Nahyan also acquired a black Willys-Overland Jeepster, dating back to 1948, with the rare distinction of still holding its original licence plates.

Another outrageous addition to the collection is a white Mercedes-Benz W116 monster truck, created after the motor-mad billionaire converted a regular Merc into an oversized vehicle.

Another of his vehicles is his Hummer H1 X3, which measures 46ft-long, 20ft-wide and 21.6ft tall.

To match his nickname, the Rainbow Sheikh, he also owns a multi-coloured Mercedes-Benz W126, and among the oddest pieces is an Erad Junior—a tiny minicar designed in the 1980s.

The Rainbow Sheikh also famously commissioned canals to be carved into an island off Abu Dhabi’s coast, spelling out his first name in a bold display of extravagance.
