Jay Leno rolls down LA street in TANK as he shows off newest addition to his car collection

Jay Leno was spotted driving a tank on the road in Los Angeles earlier this week.

On Friday, the stand-up comedian, 74, was seen popping his head out of the top of the tactical vehicle as he rolled down a residential street in a clip taken by locals.

The tank was outfitted with tracks, a long barrel mounted on the front where the weapon would be as well as armored plating.

The former late night television host — who was last spotted driving a vintage fire engine to serve food to first responders earlier this year — came to a stop beside the bystanders and poked his head of the hatch to say hello.

While chatting with them in the video posted by Foos Gone Wild on X, formerly Twitter, he joked that he is patrolling the neighborhood to keep everyone safe.

Leno, an avid car enthusiast, also owns a Tesla Cybertruck, a 1957 Buick Roadmaster convertible and a red Fiat 500 in addition to many other vehicles in his vast collection.

He also recently showed off one of his newest additions to his car collection when he debuted a not-yet-released McLaren W1 Hypercar during his Jay Leno's Garage show, per Men's Journal.

Leno is known for showing off his impressive car collection, which is rumored to be worth around $52 million.

Two years ago, however, one of his vintage vehicles caused an accident that left Leno with second and third-degree burns on his face, chest and hands.

However, he said that working with cars is still his happy place, while chatting with Today alum Hoda Kotb in late 2022.

He recalled how his 1907 steam cars erupted into flames at his Los Angeles mansion.

At the time, Leno and his friend were working on one of his many vintage vehicles.

He received skin grafts and was left with scars all over his face and hands following the harrowing ordeal.

Late last year, Leno also suffered another accident, ending up with heavy facial bruising and a broken wrist after a horrific 60 feet fall.

He previously explained that he suffered the injuries after he fell down a steep hill in response to his fans' alarmed reactions to his facial bruising.

He previously explained he was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was walking down a the hill to a restaurant when he tripped and fell.

At the time, he told Inside Edition that he also broke his wrist, lost the nail off of one of his fingers and bruised the entire left side of his body in addition to his face.

He also seemingly suffered an injury to one of his eyes as he had to wear an eye patch during his recovery.
