A Wellington man pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder for a 2017 drug deal gone wrong.

On April 27, 2017, police responded to Bowman Park in Greenacres where they found Matthew Makarits and Marcus Stukes shot to death inside a Nissan Sentra.

Witnesses at the scene told deputies they saw the shooter, Scott Cinevert, and gave a description of his vehicle.

Investigators say a search of the victim's phone revealed that the then 24-year-old Cinevert and two other men had came to the park to rob a drug dealer, according to the arrest report.

Eight years after the deadly crime, Cinevert, now 32, has pled guilty to both murders and the robbery. He will face sentencing at a later date.
