A LOCAL bowling alley is soon to get a new face lift, with refurbishment works to get underway.

The Station Approach site is still operating under the MFA brand for now, with MFA remaining the landlord of the premises, but after renovations will bear the Disco Bowl branding.

"While it's too early to outline specific plans, we emphasise creating a dynamic entertainment experience," said Disco Bowl commercial director Nigel Blair.

"We've had tremendous success with our scrapyard golf and karaoke concepts. Expect DJ-led events and an upgraded light and sound system, reflecting our signature style across our existing locations. Exciting times ahead."

Disco Bowl operates the largest bowling alley in the UK in Nottingham, with 48 lanes, as well as locations in Nuneaton, Chatham, Worcester, Lewisham, Newport, Warrington, Swansea, Cardiff and Banbury.
