Suzuki has updated the GSX-8S and GSX-S1000GT motorcycles for 2025 for the European and Asian markets. The Suzuki GSX-8S competes in a highly competitive segment that comprises the Triumph Street Triple, KTM 890 Duke, Kawasaki Z900, and others, while the GSX-S1000GT takes on the likes of the Ninja 1000 SX. Here’s a more detailed look at the updates.
Suzuki GSX-8S, GSX-S1000GT — What are the updates?
The updates are visuals — the two motorcycles get updated colour schemes and decals. The Suzuki GSX-8S gets a Cosmic Blue Edition scheme, along with black wheels and a black seat. There’s also a version that has red wheels and fully black bodywork. The larger Suzuki GSX-S1000GT gets a Metallic Grey paint scheme with bronze wheels and a bronze subframe. Suzuki also offers the GSX-S1000GT in a new Peal Vigor Blue finish.
Apart from the visual updates, neither motorcycle gets any mechanical updates or changes to its design. The street-focused Suzuki GSX-8S is powered by a 776cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine mated to a six-speed gearbox that makes 81.8 bhp and 78Nm of torque. This is the same engine that powers the Suzuki GSX-8R, a fully-faired version of the 8S, which is on sale in India. The GSX-S1000GT uses a 999cc, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 150bhp.
In India, Suzuki sells the GSX-8R and the V-Strom 800 DE, both of which use the 776cc engine. Apart from these two, Suzuki sells the Hayabusa and the Katana, which use in-line four-cylinder engines. The Suzuki GSX-8S is expected to come to India soon.
