The ISP investigated the crash which occurred around 11:04 P.M., March 13, in the 200 block of Lovell Valley Road.

The Idaho State Police (ISP) reported a single vehicle accident resulted in a fatality last week.
The ISP investigated the crash which occurred around 11:04 P.M., March 13, in the 200 block of Lovell Valley Road.
The ISP’s press release on the incident states that a gray 2018 Toyota Highlander was traveling with two occupants westbound on Lovell Valley Road. The vehicle was reported to have driven off of the roadway, crashed into a ditched, rolled and came to rest in a treed area.
When authorities arrived on scene, a 44 year-old female from Omak, Wash., was found deceased. The other vehicle occupant, a 31 year-old female from Plummer, had been able to contact an area homeowner who then called for emergency services.
The Plummer woman was transported to a local hospital via air ambulance the press release states.
The ISP’s press release states that alcohol is suspected to be a factor in the crash. Both occupants were also not wearing seatbelts.
Emergency services were on scene for around three hours. Other agencies that responded to the incident were the Benewah County Sheriff’s Office, Coeur d’Alene Tribal Police Department, Plummer Ambulance, Gateway Fire and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
Next of kin has been notified.
