Fatal

A Magnolia woman was killed and three other people were injured about 7:22 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 in a two-vehicle wreck east of Magnolia.

According to a preliminary Arkansas State Police report, which was released Wednesday night, Tiffany King, 44, was driving a 2013 model Hyundai Elantra east on Columbia Road 11 – Calhoun Road – east of U.S. 79.

Her car collided with a westbound 2013 Dodge Avenger, driven by Lacey Walker, 38, of Magnolia, when Walker’s car crossed the center line. The vehicles stuck head-on.

King was killed.

Walker and two minor passengers in her vehicle were injured. The minors were not identified in the ASP report.

The weather was clear and the road was dry at the time of the wreck.

Cpl. Brent Walker investigated the wreck for the Arkansas State Police.

This was the second highway traffic fatality in Columbia County this year. There were six vehicle-related deaths in 2024, two in 2023, 10 in 2022 and seven in 2021.

Editor’s Note: Preliminary Arkansas State Police fatality reports sometimes contain information that turns out to be inaccurate. Typical errors include spelling errors in names, or incorrect ages; outdated hometown information; vehicle direction of travel; and incident times. The ASP sometimes corrects these errors in updated reports. ASP reports omit names of passengers or drivers who are not injured, even in instances when uninjured drivers may appear to be at fault. The reports also omit names of juveniles who were injured or killed, although we report those names when obtained through other sources.
