NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) - The Charleston County Coroner has named the driver of a motorcycle who died in a crash last Wednesday.

Emory Bianchi, 19, of Goose Creek, died from blunt force injuries she sustained in this crash.

Master Trooper Brandon Bolt says the crash happened just before 7:30 p.m.

It was at that time that a 2023 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling west on the interstate.

The driver, now identified as Bianchi, reportedly attempted to pass traffic on the right around mile marker 216, near Cosgrove Avenue, but hit a curb, causing her to “spill” into the roadway, which resulted in her death.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating this crash.
