Mondeor SAPS police officers attached to the Crime Prevention Unit arrested two men (24 and 26) at about 14:15 on the corner of Columbine Drive and Rifle Range Road, Southgate, on March 11.
The police arrested the suspects for possessing suspected drugs and dealing. The arrests happened during a police-driven stop-and-search operation in the area. Police spotted a suspicious white Chevrolet Spark missing a registration plate with two male occupants.
The police stopped the vehicle, asked to search it and the occupants, and found cash in one man’s pockets and 653 suspected tablets (Mandrax) in the car.
Further investigations revealed one man is wanted for a Langlaagte SAPS murder case.
