Electric scooter maker River eyes 25 store milestone by March end
River is backed by marquee investors, including Japan-based Yamaha Motor Corporation, Mitsui & Co Ltd, and Marubeni Corporation, among others.
The Bengaluru-headquartered company, expanding its footprint, inaugurated the River Store Sathuvachari in Vellore, a 1,900 sq ft facility, in partnership with Mahalakshmi Motors.
Currently, River operates 13 stores in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Hubballi, Visakhapatnam, Kochi, Coimbatore, Mysuru, and Tirupati.
"In the coming weeks, the company will expand its presence to Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupur, Belgaum, and Pune. By the end of March 2025, River aims to have 25 stores across India," a company statement said.
On the occasion, the company launched its scooter Indie, priced at Rs 1,42,999 (ex-showroom) in Vellore.
