Cleveland single mother carjacked at gunpoint by several teens, young adults
“I’ve never looked down the barrel of a gun, ever”
CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - Monday night, several teens were caught on camera robbing a woman at gunpoint. They proceeded to steal her car, and everything inside.
Before the group took off, Lisa Rivera was able to save her phone and debit cards by stuffing them into her hoodie. Those were the only things she was able to save.
“I have nightmares, I see the gun in my face,” Rivera said. “I see the guys running up. I can’t even look at the video.”
Rivera says at least 7 men, either in their late teens or early 20s, closed in around her red Ford Escape. 2 of them, pulling out a gun.
“I felt like it couldn’t be real,” Rivera said. “You know, something like that has never happened to me. I’ve never looked down the barrel of a gun, ever.”

After the car was stolen, Rivera reported the incident to Cleveland Police. She says her insurance has to wait at least 30 days of the car being missing, in order to deem the vehicle a total loss.
“I just want everything to go back to what used to be back then,” Rivera said. “Where we didn’t have to worry too much about getting ran up on in your car.”
The red Ford Escape has the license plate number KMK2259.
