SHELDON—A 20-year-old Crete, NE, man was arrested about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 22, near Sheldon on a charge of first-offense possession of a controlled substance — marijuana.
The arrest of Danny Alexander Barrientos-Vasquez stemmed from the stop of a 2016 Cadillac ATS for multiple traffic violations on the Highway 60 expressway south ramp to Nest Avenue southeast of Sheldon, according to the Sheldon Police Department.
The odor of a THC vaping device was detected, and Barrientos-Vasquez admitted to having one in his pocket, according to the incident report.
