SILVER ALERT: Missing elderly man in Shreveport found safe

The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Shreveport Police Department for 82-year-old James Hennessy.

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - UPDATE: Louisiana State Police says the Silver Alert for James Michael Henessy has been canceled. He was found safe, police say.

INFORMATION PROVIDED BY LOUISIANA STATE POLICE:

The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Shreveport Police Department for 82-year-old James Michael Hennessy (DOB: 9/13/1942). He was discovered missing from his home on E Flournoy Lucas Road in Shreveport on March 24 at 10 p.m. Louisiana State Police received the request to issue a Silver Alert on March 25 at approximately 12:44 a.m.

Hennessy is a white male with brown eyes and gray hair. He is 6′0″ tall and weighs approximately 160 lbs. Hennessy suffers from a medical condition that may impair his judgment. Shreveport Police say Hennessy’s family thinks he may be in the early stages of dementia.

Hennessy’s clothing description is unknown. He is believed to be traveling in a brown 2011 Toyota Tacoma bearing Louisiana license plate C144475.
