Sioux Falls School Board Criticizes South Dakota Legislature Over Disappointing Funding Increase

MITCHELL, S.D. (MITCHELLNOW) The South Dakota Legislature gets poor grades from the Sioux Falls School Board on the just-completed legislative session. The District tracked 73 bills through the legislative process. Six of the seven bills it supported passed…while 39 of the measures it opposed failed. Still, Board Vice President Dawn Marie Johnson expressed disappointment and frustration. The biggest disappointment was in the area of funding.
