Iowa City's Farm to Street Dinner returns with local flavors and community spirit

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The Iowa City Downtown District and City of Iowa City and Johnson County have announced the return of the 9th Annual Farm to Street Dinner.

The event is set for Thursday, August 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. on North Linn Street in the Northside Neighborhood.

Tickets for the event will be available starting April 1 at 10 a.m., priced at $135.

The Farm to Street Dinner celebrates Iowa City's vibrant local food community with a multi-course meal crafted by chefs from downtown restaurants using locally sourced ingredients.

The unique dining experience gathers 300 attendees at a communal table to support local food systems.

Each year, proceeds from the dinner are donated to a local nonprofit working within Johnson County's food system. Applications for the 2025 beneficiary are now open, and interested groups are encouraged to apply online.
