TOWN OF CLYMAN, Wis. (WKOW) -- A house in Dodge County caught fire Wednesday afternoon after the homeowner had been burning garbage and the fire spread to the building.

CLR Fire and Rescue Chief Eric Howlett says crews were called to a home on Elm Shade Road around 3 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a fully-engulfed house and fire spreading to a nearby shed.

When firefighters got there, Howlett says they found the house with "extensive" smoke and flames coming from all sides.

Howlett says crews were able to stop the fire from spreading under the walls of a nearby shed. Once help arrived from other fire agencies, they were also able to contain the fire from spreading in the nearby field.

No one was hurt.

Firefighters were on scene for three hours.
