Woodbridge Virginia Gas Station Accident

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — A 56-year-old man died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a pedestrian accident at a gas station. Jeffrey Wayne Holman was struck by a 2014 Toyota Camry outside the Citgo station on Old Bridge Road shortly after 11:30 p.m. on March 16, according to Prince William County Police.

Holman was walking around the fuel pump island when he was hit by the vehicle exiting the gas station, causing him to fall to the ground and subsequently be run over. He was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on March 25, according to police.

“The pedestrian was extracted by fire and rescue and transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries,” Master Officer Renee Carr stated in a news release. The driver of the Camry remained at the scene following the incident.

As of now, no charges have been filed against the driver. Investigators are continuing to gather information regarding the circumstances surrounding the tragic event. They are encouraging any witnesses to step forward.

“The investigation into the gas station crash is ongoing,” Carr added. “Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact the Prince William County Police.”

This incident marks the second fatal crash reported in Prince William County within the same week. Just a day earlier, a 52-year-old woman died following a separate accident on Linton Hall Road when her vehicle flew off the road and rolled over.

Authorities continue to investigate both cases and seek assistance from the public for any leads that might aid their efforts.
