One seriously injured after vehicle vs bicycle crash

SIKESTON, Mo. (WSIL) — A bicyclist was seriously injured after a collision with a vehicle on Wednesday night.

Missouri State Highway Patrol stated the crash happened at 10:22 p.m. on March 26, at the intersection of South Kingshighway and Trotter Street in Sikeston.

State police said a 54-year-old from Sikeston was riding a bicycle when it crossed in front of 2023 Dodge Durango, driven by a 32-year-old man from Benton, Missouri.

The bicyclist was flown to a hospital and St. Louis with serious injuries.
