Amanda Holden reveals surprise family connection to Formula One legend
The Heart Radio host caught her co-star off guard when she announced the race driver "is in charge of my children's spiritual upbringing."
Amanda Holden has announced a surprising family connection to F1 legend David Coulthard.
David, nicknamed DC, competed in Formula One from 1994 to 2008, winning 13 Grand Prix across 15 seasons while driving for McLaren and Red Bull.
The Britain's Got Talent judge revealed her unexpected connection to the racer during her latest Heart Radio show when the 53-year-old challenged her co-host, Jamie Theakspon, to guess the ages of famous people who are celebrating their birthday today.

David was one of the names mentioned, and he's in good company, which includes Quentin Tarantino, Mariah Carey, and Jessie J, all turning 62, 56, and 37, respectively.
During the segment, Amanda shared that David was a close family friend, saying: "Last but by know means least, because this is a special one, this is uncle David, we call him in our house, David Coulthard, DC."
It turns out that David is the godfather of Amanda's two children, Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13.
"God knows why we did that, because he's naughty," the BGT judge jokingly added.
Jamie replied: "Wow, you put him in charge of your children's spiritual upbringing?"
Amanda said: "He is in charge of my children's spiritual upbringing and they're both girls."
David was the best man at Amanda's wedding, as he is close friends with the presenter and her husband, Chris Hughes.
It's not the first time David has been spotted with the couple; he was seen in one post during the 2021 Formula One World Championship.
Amanda shared a selfie with David from her home, where they watched the event together, writing in the caption of the post: "Getting live commentary in my kitchen over this #Grandprix nightmare for @redbullracing looks like @pirelli isn't having a 'Goodyear' (that's a joke for anyone that understands about tires! )."(sic).
