Amanda Holden playfully took a swipe at her good friend David Coulthard on Heart Radio today, as she wished him a Happy Birthday.

Live on the show, the 53-year-old presenter challenged her co-star Jamie Theakston to guess the ages of celebrities who also turn a year older on March 27.

Those on the list included Quentin Tarantino, Mariah Carey, and Jessie J, and lastly, ex Formula One driver David.

Ahead of Jamie's final guess, Amanda said: "Last but by no means least, because this is a special one, this is uncle David, we call him in our house, David Coulthard, DC."

She then disclosed that the newly turned 54-year-old is the godfather to her daughters; Lexi, 19, and Hollie, 13, which sparked a response from Jamie.

The Britain's Got Talent judge quipped with a laugh: "God knows why we did that, because he's naughty."

Jamie joined in with the banter, adding: "Wow, you put him in charge of your children's spiritual upbringing?".

"He is in charge of my children's spiritual upbringing and they're both girls," Amanda confirmed, laughing along.

David is close friends with Amanda and her husband Chris Hughes, and played the role of his best man at their wedding.

The racing star and his fiancée Sigrid Silversand have often appeared in photos shared by Amanda on her social media accounts.

In one moment during the 2021 Formula One World Championship, the presenter snapped a selfie with David as they enjoyed the event from her home.

Captioning her Instagram post, Amanda wrote: "Getting live commentary in my kitchen over this #Grandprix nightmare for @redbullracing looks like @pirelli isn't having a 'Goodyear' (that's a joke for anyone that understands about tires!)."(sic)

The following year, David and Sigrid were included in the celebrations of Amanda's daughter's 16th birthday.

In a picture shared from the event, the couple were pictured seemingly enjoying the party alongside Amanda and Chris in their home.

Previously opening up about his bond with Chris and Amanda in an interview with Cruise and Travel, David revealed: "Chris and I have been friends for a long time, we're very close.

"He's married to Amanda Holden and we all get on well – they're a great couple to travel with.

"Chris is a great laugh and we're always having a giggle together."
