The Greene County Solid Waste Management District will hold a Tire Amnesty Day on Saturday, April 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the following locations: The Greene County Recycling Center located at 4316 W Base Road in Switz City and the Greene County Recycling Center located at SE 12th Street and SE “C” Street in Linton. Tire Amnesty Day, which is funded by the Greene County Health Department grant and IDEM Waste Tire Clean-up grant, allows any Greene County resident, excluding commercial businesses, to bring an unlimited number of rimless pickup truck tires or passenger car tires to the recycling centers at no charge.
