A 27-year-old man from Kansas City was killed Friday evening in a motorcycle crash on southbound Interstate 35 at the 24.6-mile marker, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m. when a 2023 Harley-Davidson Street Bob 114 motorcycle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a guardrail. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and became entangled in the cable barriers.
The man, who was not wearing a helmet, was pronounced dead at the scene by a Kearney Fire Department paramedic at 7:55 p.m. His body was transported by Forensic Medical of Kansas.
The motorcycle sustained extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Liberty Tow.
