NORTHERN MICHIGAN (WPBN/WGTU) -- Munson Healthcare's Charlevoix Hospital and Otsego Memorial Hospital began running under generator power Sunday.
Munson said those generators can run up to 48 hours, and resources to refuel the generators are available. So, Munson can continue to provide patient care to affected communities even when power is lost.
They urge anyone experiencing a medical emergency to call 911 or seek care at the nearest hospital, while being careful of icy and obstructed roads.
Munson's Grayling Hospital lost power over the weekend but has since had it restored.
Healthcare facilities in Cadillac, Frankfort, Kalkaska, Manistee, and Traverse City have not been impacted.
Munson will have several clinics and outpatient services closed Monday, March 31st; a list of those closures can be found here.
Munson Healthcare will provide status updates through social media and its website munsonhealthcare.org.
