TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WTVA) — A woman from Aliceville died in a weekend car crash in Pickens County, Alabama, while the young child riding with her was injured.

State troopers said Ariana Lang, 24, was driving a Chevrolet Malibu around 7:25 p.m. Saturday when it left Franconia Road roughly one mile north of the city. The car hit a ditch before slamming into a brick culvert.

Lang died where the crash happened. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said she was not wearing a seat belt.

First responders found the 2-year-old and rushed the child to a nearby hospital to be treated.
