DIY queen Stacey Solomon added another £3m to her fortune as she cements herself as one of the nation's best-loved telly stars. New figures show the mum-of-five raked in around £58,000 a week from her TV roles and lucrative ad deals.

Known for her relatable and honest portrayal of being a "normal mum”, she fronts campaign for budget brands like Primark and George at ASDA.

But her bank balance is far from what normal families have in their cash pots. In her Key Map Entertainments Ltd – set up to take in cash from “performing arts” - she added another almost £1m to her investment portfolio, taking the value of her production firm to £7.4m for 2024. The outfit was worth £4.3m in 2023. It has a total of £3.8m listed as being invested.

Stacey, 35, has come a long way since being a single mum living off benefits. Opening up about the financial struggles of becoming a mother at just 17, said that the government benefits she received at the time “saved her life”, helping her buy essentials like work.

She turned her life around after rising to fame on on the X Factor in 2009, becoming a national treasure and is best known for her bubbly personality and as the Instagram DIY queen.

Stacey’s earning power comes on the back of telly shows like BBC’s Sort Your Life Out and Stacey Solomon's Renovation Rescue, her own crafting Christmas show. Tonight Stacey throws the doors open to their Essex home, Pickle Cottage, for their own reality show.

The BBC series, Stacey and Joe, follows the couple and their children as they navigate their daily lives and starts tonight. It will feature children Zach, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three, and Belle, two.

The savvy businesswoman ventures stretch out into commercial projects with big money deals with high-street stores and brands like jewellery firm Abbott Lyon and fashion line In The Style.

She also hopes to clean up by launching her own range of cosmetics. And the hugely popular presenter has called the firm Belle & Rose – after two of her kids. Stacey signed documents at Companies House to incorporate the firm last year. Papers say the firm will trade in the “retail sale of cosmetic and toilet articles in specialised stores”.

The TV star has been keeping her social media followers in the loop as she has transformed Pickle Cottage, Stacey and Joe's Tudor style Essex house, into a home. It sits in huge grounds and has a pool in the garden.

She says she has strong work ethic, which she credits her dad Dave for. But she insists she’ll make her own kids work for their money and vowed not to dishing out pocket money, unless the youngsters earn it by doing chores around the house.

She says: "We don't have some sort of inherited wealth that we can pass down for generations. "It's really important for them to know that this is our career and we will support our family in whichever way we can, but eventually they are their own person. They're going to have their own lives and they need to have their own dreams, careers and that doesn't come from us giving them everything. It's a constant battle. Sometimes I just want to throw the towel in and be like: 'Fine, don't do anything,' because they're teenage boys."
