I have had exactly the same.. delay upon delay.

And finally today there were ready to deliver but the car was scratched in a ton of places and dirty. I was worn down so was ready to take it but then they had a problem with invoicing and ended up refusing.

Given such a bad experience of over 10 days of constant delays, I have cancelled the current car and will reconsider in the next lot in a few days or weeks

I have turned on carpet lights by going to the vehicle app and then selecting it in the exterior tab. The carpet lights turn on post locking the car. The lights are placed somewhere on the underbody of the car as they are visible even with the sidestep on my 9E.

So here’s the thing. It started working after I turned it off and turned it on. It wasn’t working for me before even when the setting was set to ON.

Seems the car has some ‘cache’ like our browsers too!

You should ask what size (gauge) of cable they will use and will it be armored?

2nd error = Since i live on the 15th floor as per basic math calculation 15 x 3.5 mtr per floor = 52.5 mtrs.
Not sure if your society/ condominium will allow wire routing directly from the outside. Usually you should be able to find power on ground floor and a separate meter is what you should consider. Even if there is duct for pipe/ cabling, a thinner cable (relatively) is not recommended for so much distance. If must than it should be armored and in a pipe with supports/ tie at some distance.

I dont think your installers can do a proper job at asked rates. These are too low (keeping aside length of cable).

Wonder if this is another money making scheme by Mahindra or just an one off experience.
OEM's will not like to get involved in such things so would have given the contract to external vendors.

They have opted for Polycab 10sq.mm x 3 core Flexible copper cable. Market price is roughly between Rs.320 to Rs.350 per mtr.

Wiring is internal via a cable tray. Do you feel 10sq.mm x 3 core would be insufficient?

Also, separate green meter is not an option for now since the common MSEB line is connected to the DG set and the society is not willing to load it with EV meters incase of a power failure.

Could you please elaborate as to what according to you should ideally be done or rather what specification should of cable should be used. A friend living on 10th floor in the same building got a Nexon EV with 7.4kw charger. Charger installation including cable cost = Rs.23,500 [Polycab 6sq.mm x 3 core was used].

You should factor at least 10-12 Kw charger (considering future). 12,5 Kw at 220V = 56 Amp. For approximate 60 Amp, google tells to use around 30-35 mm copper, 100 mtr distance.

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

Took delivery of my Deep forest Be6 on ugadi.
Noticed a few things not working.
1. Secure 360 on app not working. Only a blank screen
2. Lock and unlock automatic on arrival and departure from vehicle(PKE) not working
3. Keyfob forward and back
3. Auto park from keyfob and mobile phone
4. Pawpal feature no where to be found
5. User profiles ( cant find the section to add user profiles and seat setting to a particular*profile).
6. NFC card not issued & NFC lock & unlock function not enabled.(Althought only listed as standard on xev9e broucher)
7. Driver monitor [Eyedentity] system non functional. Hardware is working fine. Its a software glitch
8. Central console ambient lights not working(Around the key slot, start stop button and joystick). All other ambient lights work. Failed to notice this in PDI because Ipersonally didn't even know it existed until I stumbled upon a pic online.
9. warranty listed as expired on Me4U app
10. store app not working on Central display
11. no option to uninstall unnecessary apps from the entertainment section as per user (like swiggy and tv9 gujarathi). Not an issue, just something if have liked.

The car is an absolute dream to drive and a definitely ite headturner. No critical errors so far atleast and hence no issue with usability.

I have sent the list from above to my SA and he has raised a request to rectify these asap and has even assured me that I'll not need to go to the service center and instead he will get the service team and engineer on site to rectify the issue. The only thing that may not be resolved via a software update is the console ambient lights which he said if unresolved via software update will be replaced under warranty.

I didn't see any panel gaps or paint issues on my car(on pdi and delivery). Central console piano black bits very scratched up( wasn't there on pdi but on previous day of delivery someone probably used a dirty rag to wipe it) . SA did get them to buff out most of these scratches to his credit.

1. Secure360 might get fixed with some software update? Right now it only records emergency events. Nobody else reporting this issue so far.
2. Lock and unlock automatic requires you to press the driver side door handle with the key in the pocket. It doesn't just open-endedly lock/unlock
3. Park in/out has a slight sequence of inputs to get it to work. If you're outside the car, press lock >> Press and hold last button (cooling) till mirrors pop out >> hold forward/backward to move car in that direction. I have not tried this yet, but members in our group have.
4. It is going to be a subscription based feature, will arrive in a software update.
5. User profile >> Not sure. But for seat memory, do this: Set the seat and mirrors to your position. Press the M button on the side of the seat, and then press the 1/2/3 setting button. You should get a single beep from the console to confirm setting saved. Later, you can press and hold the respective 1/2/3 button to get it to restore that position.
6. I don't think NFC card was supposed to be part of the standard package? I don't remember anyone else getting one either. I think that will be an extra purchase.
7. Might get fixed with a software update. Nobody else reporting this issue so far.
8. Try manually setting the lights from the head unit? See if that works.
9. That is likely a backend data glitch. Should get sorted out.
10. Yeah store is empty right now. Software update should sort it out.
11. The "Fun & Work" thing is I believe a packaged container. Not sure if you can uninstall stuff out of it.

No separate setting that I can remember. I just noticed it while driving and tried it out in the parking lot.

Everyone sees the black screen on the app. Might get fixed in an upcoming update.

Does the PKE not even get the flush door handles out on it own like some other cars? It just works like a request sensor?

I tried this sequence of buttons and the mirrors do pop up and the Driver screen turns on. And then it just goes into drive summary. Vehicle doe not move in either direction

Let me try this. I was told by my SA the car automatically adjusts these setting based on the face it sees via the eyedenity camera.

Maybe. I don't see NFC as an inclusion on Be6 broucher.

Yeah. Its specific to my car. I even tried pretending to be on my phone and and other stuff to trigger it. Nothing. On the other hand a few other have told me their system is too sensitive.

As far as I'm aware, it doesn't get the door handles out. TBH even using the door handle as a request sensor isn't written in the user manual. That's just something we guys figured out.

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

I am trying to list an easy difference sheet for BE6 vs XEV 9E

Mahindra BE 6 Review-screenshot-20250402-092222.png

I am not clear about the welcome/goodbye animations. Are those the projects below the door or just animated indicators on lock/unlock.

Eg: is this an accessory or part of the car. Does anyone have a 6 vs 9 video for this?

Would have been nice to have the door handles pop out when we reach near the car and go back in when we walk away. Hope they include these later on OTA update, but cant complain with what we already have.

Also on a separate note,
My staff at my workplace got too excited to see the car and slammed the door open without realising it opens wide and hit a pillar(Corner). Now there is a small dent on the body line on the drivers side door. No paint damage. My heart sank when I saw the dent. Just wanted to know if there is any reliable paintless dent repair team in Bangalore and if it can even be fixed without tinkering and repainting. The car is only 3 days old and Althought minor , I'd like to fix it(Emotional). Attaching a pic here(just follow the body line above the door handle) My PPF detailing studio and my SA both saw this and said they can fix it but will require repainting and one day time frame.

Any suggestions? My PPF slot is booked for the 4th.

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

Hello. Been away because been completely swamped with work and ofcourse just been enjoying my car.

Here's the scoop.

I received my car on 29th. It was the first BEV by Sireesh they delivered. On the day of the delivery I went on a in city trip with a few people but it stood out absolutely everywhere.

Mahindra BE 6 Review-first-day-airlines.jpg

1. Accessories: I got the mats, the mudflaps, the spoiler. Scuff plates weren't in stock so didn't get them yet.

Mahindra BE 6 Review-day-1-homecoming.jpeg

2. The Me4u App: I got the app access at the showroom itself. Took sometime to figure out a bunch of different things but largely it was just the app and me for the first five days because:

3. PPF: I got PPF done through The Detailing Mafia in Koramangala, Bangalore. The owner is a car enthusiast himself and it helped a lot because he knew all of my worries about the dismantling etc.

Mahindra BE 6 Review-ppf-first-look.jpg

I got the Ultrashield X for 8 years warranty with about three add ons. Ashwin the owner, was more than accommodative to cover the PPF internally on the piano black surfaces for free. As you can see below, I did finish my car with Matte and its a decision very very far from regret. The overall experience was great. The process:

1. They first got a expert consultant who has experience with cars with ADAS. He spent the whole day dismantling all the piano black panels.

2. I could see the work happening throughout on a live stream through Secure 360.
Well tucked, no bubbles, smooth applique and great finishing.

3. I went to see the car on the day of the pick up and it looked absolutely great. Paid the balance and drove off. At the junction I caused a jam on the perpendicular road because I caused a slow down for everyone who wanted to check out the car. At first I thought I blocked a lane, but it wasn't the case at all. Many such experiences with head turning.

Mahindra BE 6 Review-post-ppf-homecoming.jpg

Mahindra BE 6 Review-ppf-home.jpg

Mahindra BE 6 Review-resting-home.jpg

4. The Car: The absolutely beauty and beast of a car

Nothing, and I say nothing compares to driving off with your new vehicle. This was my first ever car delivery because my previous car was a subscription that was unceremoniously delivered at home. The Sireesh guys and Mahindra team present there made me feel like a VIP, something I'm not used to.

I've been using the car everyday for work. I still get anxious about the traffic around me but its so easy to drive. I usually drive on Everyday mode with L3 regen.

I've not yet tried the Race mode because Bangalore. Haha.
I did try the boost mode and it took off better than my experience with a Dodge Charger I drove in UAE. Its absolutely much more smoother.

My ODO at delivery was at 90kms.
I received the car with 100% charge.
My current ODO is at 290
The current charge is at 38% with an expected range of 192 kms more.

The reason I say all this is because I've still not charged the car since delivery. My charger is not installed yet thanks to the my electricity service provider. (Its a bloody hassle in Bangalore. Sort this out before your delivery)

The only issue when I drove off from the showroom was that the trunk wouldn't completely close. The SA assured me that there will be an update very soon and it will get fixed. However while the car was at the PPF place, it automatically got fixed because the structure and fleshing got used to all the open and closing. Now it works like a charm.

My other concern which doesn't seem to be very common is the suspension. I feel like I'm doing something wrong with the suspension for it to work perfectly.

Maybe I am a more tolerant guy and I know the early adopters will feel the bite of first time issues, but honestly I've not faced anything which I can't live with. The advantage being that at least I'm not worried about range anxiety due to battery pack, price hike or anything like that. I'm supremely happy with this car and its the highlight of my day. [Trust me, commuting in Bangalore is a journey through hell]
