Adrian George Knights was driving his Ford Fiesta on St Martins Hill when he was stopped by police on January 27 this year.

A590: Drink driver nearly twice the legal limit - sentence
A MAN has admitted to being nearly twice over the legal drink driving limit when police pulled him over whilst driving on the A590.
Ethan Roberts, of Swallow Close, Bolton-le-Sands, Carnforth was stopped by road traffic officers whilst driving his Peugeot on the A590 near Brettargh Holt Roundabout near Kendal on February 2 this year.

A683: Man caught over three times legal drink driving limit - sentence
A MAN has lost his license after he was caught over three times the legal drink driving limit.
John Halliday, 46, was sentenced at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on March 13 after previously pleading guilty to driving a motor vehicle with alcohol above the legal limit.

Barrow man driving whilst 13 times over Class A drug limit
A MOTORIST has been disqualified after he was caught driving whilst 13 times over a Class A drug limit.
Andrew Kelley, of Anson Street, Barrow, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the legal limit at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on February 26.

Disqualified Barrow driver picked up partner who couldn't afford taxi
A DISQUALIFIED driver has been sentenced after he went to collect his girlfriend on a night out as she couldn’t afford money for a taxi, a court heard.
Daniel Feeney, of Cameron Street, Barrow, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle without third party insurance.

Barrow driver caught 16 times over cocaine drug driving limit
A MOTORIST has been sentenced after he was caught driving whilst more than 16 times over a legal drug driving limit.
Joshua Turner, of St. Lukes Street, Barrow, was stopped by officers on mobile patrol whilst driving his Seat Leon on August 21 last year, prosecutor Lee Dacre told South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.

A PSYCHIATRIC nurse was caught drink driving after finishing his fifth 12-hour shift, a court heard.
Shepherd Mpofu, 54, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to driving a motor vehicle while above the legal alcohol limit at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on March 17.

Ulverston man over the limit behind wheel of his Audi
A MAN has been banned from driving and ordered to pay a hefty fine after he was caught behind the wheel whilst over the legal alcohol limit.
Matthew Thomas Friend, of Fountain Street, Ulverston, was stopped by road traffic officers on patrol on Stafford Street in Barrow on February 2 this year.

Drink driver caught after crashing into Peugeot garage
A SELF-employed joiner was over twice the legal drink driving limit when he caused damage to several cars after crashing into a Peugeot garage dealership, a court heard.
Glenn Davidson, of Gateway, Barrow, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to one count of driving a motor vehicle with alcohol above the legal limit at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on March 27.

A MAN has admitted to driving whilst over twice the legal alcohol limit.
James Heseltine, 29, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to one offence of drink driving at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court in Barrow on March 12.

Barrow: Woman caught nearly twice over drink driving limit - sentence
A DRIVER was ‘thoroughly ashamed of herself’ after she was caught drink driving whilst nearly twice over the legal limit.
Michelle Wetherow, 57, was stopped by police on Maple Street in Barrow on February 16 after a concerned member of the public called 999 to say they were concerned for the defendant’s welfare, South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court.
