Tata Motors is gearing up to introduce arguably the most stunning-looking CNG vehicle in the Indian market. If our subtle hint flew under the radar, let us spell it out for you, we are talking about the Curvv. The stylish SUV will soon be available in CNG and was recently caught testing in Pune. Currently, no official timeline has been revealed by the Indian automobile manufacturer, but it could make its debut in the festive time.
Tata Curvv CNG: What to expect?
With a lot of buzz around the upcoming Harrier EV and Sierra, Tata Motors has been quietly working on Curvv CNG. A heavily camouflaged Curvv was caught testing on the streets of Pune and because of its distinctive design, it was quite clear which car it was. Tata SUV will be the first in its segment to be available in turbo petrol, diesel, electric and soon in CNG. Only the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara comes in three trims — petrol, hybrid and CNG. Another feather in the cap for Tata Motors as the Curvv will be the first in its class to be equipped with a twin-cylinder tank.
The Curvv CNG is expected to have the same power output as the Nexon CNG. It is expected to be powered by the 1.2-litre turbo petrol 3 cylinder with 99 bhp and 170 Nm of torque. The SUV will be mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Tata Curvv CNG: Competition Check

Both the Maruti and Toyota CNG SUVs are powered by an 87 bhp 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol with 121.5 Nm. According to the companies, the SUV returns 26.6 kg/km and gets a 5-speed manual transmission.
