Five people, including a young boy, have been severely injured in an accident on the Ring Road in Accra on Wednesday, April 9, 2025.

The accident, which occurred around noon, involved five vehicles and was reportedly caused by a Kia truck loaded with bricks, according to a report by myjoyonline.com.

The truck, which was traveling along Ring Road, lost control when its brakes failed, crashing into several vehicles in its path, the report stated.

Emergency services, including personnel from the Ghana Police Service, responded swiftly to the scene.

The victims, who sustained serious injuries, were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, the report added.
