Las Vegas (KSNV) — A fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Arville Street on Sunday night, resulting in the death of a driver, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The crash happened around 8:55 p.m. when a 2019 Nissan Rogue, traveling westbound on Desert Inn Road, crashed with a 2012 Mercedes-Benz C-Class.
The Mercedes was traveling eastbound, attempted a left turn at the intersection under a flashing yellow arrow, failing to yield the right of way to the Nissan.
The right front of the Mercedes struck the left side of the Nissan, police said.
Medical personnel transported the driver of the Mercedes to the UMC-Trauma Unit for treatment of his injuries.
The driver of the Nissan, who claimed injuries at the scene, was not transported and showed no signs of impairment.
On Thursday morning, the Clark County Coroner/Medical Examiner's Office informed the police department's Collision Investigation Section that the driver of the Mercedes had succumbed to his injuries and died.
