Gone in 60 seconds: How two men stole a $70,000 muscle car from an Augusta dealership

A high-performance $70,000 car is missing from a Columbia County auto dealership and authorities want to learn more.
Video footage recorded about 9 p.m. Monday at Jim Hudson Lexus, 3410 Washington Rd. in Martinez, shows two men lingering around a 2020 black Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat, according to the Columbia County Sheriff's Office.
The Hellcat runs a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 engine with 707 horsepower, and reportedly can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than four seconds.
The footage showed a black Infinity Q50 enter the car lot from Pleasant Home Road, then stop in front of the Hellcat.
The Infiniti's front passenger got out and walked behind the Charger, out of camera view. The Infinity drove off the lot onto Washington Road and returned from Pleasant Home Road, stopping again where the passenger was dropped off, the footage seemed to show.
The passenger walked toward the driver of the vehicle and handed "an unknown device" to the driver, according to the CCSO report. Within a minute, the Hellcat was unlocked, cranked and headed down Washington Road with the Infiniti.
The investigation is continuing.
