A LEGENDARY car brand has reportedly killed off its flagship sedan as it "cancels orders for next year" amid a mounting trade war.
The increased tariffs were the nail in this vehicles coffin, along with generally low sales.
Volvo is introducing a shiny, battery-electric vehicle in replacement of the S90.
The Volvo ES90 is set to become the Swedish brand's new flagship model.
But with this addition, comes the end of the S90. Sadly, this year is its final year on sale.
All orders in 2026 will be cancelled by Volvo, Automotive News reports.

It comes after President Trump hiked China tariffs to 145 per cent in the latest move of the trade war.
Various Volvo models are made in China, such as the S90, EX30 and soon to be ES90.
With the increased tariffs came the nail in the coffin for the S90. Along with generally low sales in America.
Last year, Volvo only moved 1,364 units of the S90 last year, making it one of the least popular Volvo models in the US.

While Volvo is still a huge seller, it'll shift its focus to best-selling SUV's instead.
The S90 also happened to be Volvo's final combustion sedan in the US and only low-slung model until the ES90 arrives.
But the bad news isn't over yet. Volvo plans to have the ES90 made in China too, which could affect its arrival in the US.
However, the company has been ramping up another non-Chinese factory for the US-bound EX30, but for the ES90, that remains to be seen.
Volvo's factory in South Carolina is being considered for expansion to allow another model to join the EX90 and Polestar 3 on the assembly lines.

On the exterior, the car embodied an elegant Scandinavian design.
