A BMW driver caught on the M6 landed himself in trouble after trying to trick police. Officers from Warwickshire Police's Operational Patrol Unit stopped the car on the motorway near to the junction one services.
The team said the driver, who has not been identified, initially gave false details. It then emerged he was disqualified. It led to the driver being reported to court.
The BMW was also seized. "BMW was stopped M6, driver and vehicle taken to Junction 1 services," the team said. "Driver initially gave false details but found to be disqualified. Driver reported and vehicle seized."

The BMW was not the only car seized by the team. They also spotted a displaying cloned number plates.
It led to the officers following the car. "The vehicle followed and blocked in," the team said. "True identity established and vehicle seized."
They also intercepted a van at Junction 12 of the M40 which was linked to a serious assault in Stourbridge in January.
