Man seriously injured in head-on crash between car and semi Monday in Reno County
HUTCHINSON, Kan. (WIBW) - A man was seriously injured in a head-on crash Monday afternoon in Reno County, authorities said.
The collision was reported at 3:07 p.m. Monday about a mile north of Hutchinson on K-14 highway.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol’s online crash log, a 2007 Lexus ES car was southbound on K-14 when it crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a northbound 2024 Kenworth semitrailer.
The driver of the Lexus, Gregory Lynn Baker, 69, of Wichita, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The patrol said Baker was wearing his seat belt.
The driver of the semi, Troy Edward Myeers, 52, of Andover, was reported uninjured. The patrol said Myers was wearing his seat belt.
Both drivers were alone in their vehicles, the patrol said.
