EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — One person was killed and two others were seriously injured after a car crashed and veered into the sidewalk, hitting three pedestrians.
According to the El Paso Police Department, 21-year-old Diana Chagah Garcia was killed after a 2015 Audi S3 driving south crashed into another car while changing lanes and veered into the sidewalk Monday night at around 10:47 p.m., hitting three people on the sidewalk.
The crash happened at the 140 block of N. Mesa Street, near the Budget Lodge Motel.
EPPD identified Garcia and the other two pedestrians as being from Ciudad Juarez, with the other two being 15 and 19 years old.

EPPD said all three were rushed to the hospital, however, Garcia unfortunately succumbed to their injuries.
EPPD said the driver of the Audi, a 21-year-old man from Socorro, was arrested; however, he wasn't charged with any offense related to the crash. The driver was charged with drug possession after police claimed they found marijuana in his car.
The vehicle that the Audi crashed into reportedly fled the scene.

According to EPPD statistics, this is the 21st traffic death of 2025, compared to the 15 this time 2024.
